1930's Red Wing RumRill Athenian Nude Vase 10" Art Deco 570-10
SOLD $300.00 Sold: Oct 14, 2023 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
1930's Red Wing RumRill Athenian Nude Vase 10" Art Deco 570-10For sale is a wonderful Red Wing RumRill Athenian Nude Vase dating to the 1930's Art Deco Era. The vase has 2 hairline cracks, one on the base and one on the rim (see last 2 photos), and the vase has a slight wobble (or warping) which I believe could be corrected with felt pads. There is a spot on the base that looks like a glaze flaw (see last photo). I also see a few darker marks which may clean up with a deeper clean. The color is a beautiful ivory and the interior is glazed in blue-green. The glaze is somewhat matte, but still has a sheen which catches the light. The 3 nudes stand with their backs and hands to the main body of the vase, as if they are supporting the vase. Their feet rest on the stepped base. It stands 10" tall and measures approximately 8" x 8" x 8 at the outer point of each nude. The vase has no markings, but I believe it is known as #570-10. Hard to find period piece. Beautiful, elegant vase displayed on a shelf or mantel. Comes from a non-smoking home. Please enlarge the photos for more detail, and let me know if you have any questions. Note: Your purchase will be well packed for shipping via UPS. If the quote for postage is more than the actual cost, I will refund the difference back to the buyer. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
